Meet and Greet: Our Senior Producer gets to know you and your story. He’ll make note of photos and video to be included.
Story Starter: Prior to the interview, you receive an instructional workbook designed to bring the memories flooding back.
Master Interview: We come to your home and record an interview with you on camera about your life story. Allow two hours.
Fine Cut: We edit the interview, then intercut your own photos and home movies with relevant archival material, stock footage and appropriate music.
Exclusive Preview: To ensure your satisfaction, you review a rough draft of the film so any adjustments can be made before the final edit.

Your one-on-one Master Interview will be conducted by our Senior Producer, Lincoln Howes. With a 40-year career in Australian television, including many years as a senior producer on Australia’s premier current affairs programme, 60 Minutes, Lincoln has the reassuring experience of a true professional and will guide you through the interview every step of the way.

For your comfort and convenience, we come to your home to conduct the Master Interview. We use a simple setup with two cameras and minimal lighting with very little disruption to the household. It usually takes around two hours, plus an extra hour for shooting additional footage around the home.

Nothing. When you sign up for a Premier Legacy Film before your interview you’ll receive our exclusive ‘Story Starter’ workbook. It provides sample questions, runs through the subjects usually covered and poses a few curly conundrums to really get you thinking about your past. It’s not compulsory and no one will be checking your answers – it’s just designed to get your memory firing. Whatever you do, DO NOT prepare your answers, write them down, or try to memorise a particular story to tell. Trying to recite set lines is a sure way to get flustered and never looks natural on camera. Just relax and ease into the conversation as naturally as if you were telling your story at the pub or over the back fence.

Your film is much more than just the interview. We weave in your personal photographs and home movies. We source stock images and relevant video to illustrate whatever comes up in the interview. We access archival material of world events to provide historical context to your story. And you get to choose your favourite music tracks to be included alongside the production music we add to create mood and reflect the eras of your life.

Yes, absolutely! Your personal photos and home movies are key components. During the editing stage (‘Fine Cut’), we incorporate these and use the latest enhancement software to restore them to pristine quality.

Yes. Before we complete the final edit, you’ll have the opportunity to watch a screening of the near-complete film (the ‘rough cut’). This ensures you are happy with the result, and we can make any necessary adjustments before delivering the final product.
