OUR PRODUCTION PROCESS
You're the star of your own story.
We believe creating your personal film should be a rewarding, collaborative, and straightforward experience. Our proven 5-stage process ensures we capture your story authentically and respectfully, resulting in a final product you and your family will treasure.
The Meet & Greet
Our Senior Producer, Lincoln Howes, who will conduct your interview, comes to your home and spends time getting to know you and your family. That way he can begin to structure your story and compile personalised questions for your Master Interview as well as establish the photographic and video material you can supply and what we'll need to source externally. We then set a date for the Master Interview - you'll usually have a week in between - and that's when you get your STORY STARTER.
The Story Starter
To get your memory fired up, we provide you with our exclusive STORY STARTER booklet. It's not a list of specific questions, but gives you an idea of what to expect and helps identify pivotal moments of your life. There are prompts to jog your memory, quandries to ponder and a list of likely themes. It's not a quizz and it's not compulsory. But it can help prepare you for your MASTER INTERVIEW.
The Master Interview
For the one-on-one MASTER INTERVIEW we come to your home and set up two cameras and minimal lighting. No need to be nervous. Sit back, relax and Lincoln will guide you every step of the way. Allow two hours for the interview, then another hour for 'at-home' shots and gathering the secondary material we'll require for THE FINE CUT
The Fine Cut
This is where the magic happens. We trim down the interview and once it's in good shape we incorporate your home videos and family snapshots - all restored to pristine quality using the latest AI enhancement software. We then add stock footage and archival material and finally bring it all to life with your favourite music tracks thanks to our "Domestic Use Music Licence".
The Final Delivery
You'll get the chance to see a draft copy of your film to ensure you're happy with the finished product. Once you sign off, we complete the final touches and you'll receive your digital copies - a file on a USB stick and a private link to view online which can be downloaded and preserved as a family heirlom for generations to come.
